Oliver E. Wriedt was named CEO of DFG Investment Advisers, effective Thursday.
He replaces Volkan Kurtas, who founded the firm and also serves as chief investment officer. Mr. Kurtas will continue serving as CIO.
“DFG is a young, high-energy team. I’ve known the partners since the formation of the firm and thought this would be a fantastic home for me,” Mr. Wriedt said in a phone interview. “I’m excited to build out the businesses.”
Mr. Wriedt added that the firm is using in-house technology to develop new credit strategies and will “continue to invest in new technology and expand our current investment platform.”
Mr. Wriedt was co-CEO of CIFC Asset Management. As previously reported, Steve Vaccaro, co-founder, CIO and co-CEO, is now sole CEO.
DFG managed $5.7 billion in assets as of April 1.
