Donald Trump’s trade war with China is seen as a key risk in 2019

A trade war between the US and China is the most significant risk facing reserve managers in 2019. Nearly three-quarters of respondents ranked it the most or second most pressing issue for them, a new survey conducted by Central Banking finds.

Nevertheless, emerging market central banks said they are more focused on the risks that could derive from a US recession in the year ahead, while European institutions stress the various scenarios Brexit could create before the end of the year.
