Dutch pension funds recorded heavy losses in the first quarter of the year due to the Covid-19 crisis, the Netherlands Bank (DNB) said on April 29.
The sharp falls in equity markets recorded in February and March was a key contributing factor to the decline. At least two major Dutch funds have warned that they may have to decrease their pensions if their finances do not improve in the near future.
