The Monetary Authority of Singapore announced a S$6 million ($4.2 million) grant to help fund fintech firms’ day-to-day expenses.
Singapore’s central bank announced an $88 million package for the financial services and fintech sectors in April, in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. The MAS will provide two-thirds of the grant while the rest is funded by AMTD Foundation and AMTD Group, an investment banking firm headquartered in Hong Kong.
